1.Ingo Maurer

He was a German industrial designer born on 12 May 1932,  on Reichenau Island and was the son of a fisherman. He studies his graphic design in Munich. After working in the U.S as a freelance graphic designer  he moved back to Germany and founded his own company Design M that develops and manufactures lamps. After a period of time the company was renamed as “Ingo Maurer GmbH”. 

His first design of a bulb got its position in the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art. He was called the “poet of light”. He got several awards including Royal designers for industry. His achievements were heart expanding odes to the power of light and beauty. He died on oct 29, 2019 but his light lives on.

Alexandre Touguet is a young french designer who calls himself an “Industrial and digital designer”. His project ranges from furniture to consumer electronics. He passionately uses digital tools in his projects to take clients from one end of the design process to the other. In one of his interviews he said that he is more interested in the products with which we interact everyday and with which we have an intimate connection. 

This is what drew him to design electronic devices, chairs or interiors. He really liked the work of Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s and said that it is remarkable. He had worked in collaboration with Philipe Starck .

Lotta Jansdotter is a Scandinavian designer. She is obsessed with patterns and aims to make her project with simple beauty and creates original, handmade designs for her clients.

Gaetano Pesce is an italian architect and a design pioneer in the 20th century. He has worked as an urban planner, architect and industrial designer during his 50 year career. He uses color and materials innovatively in his works and builds a connection between the individual and society.

Steven Holl is an American architect and water colorist. 30.Charles and Ray Eames

Charles Ormond Eames, and Bernice Alexandra “Ray” Kaiser Eames were a married couple and were industrial designers from America. Through their work in Eames office, they made significant historical contributions in the development of modern architecture and furniture. 

Charles was the face of Eames office among the public but Charles and Ray worked together. Eames lounge chair and the Eames dining chair are their most recognized designs. They won the First National Industrial Designers Institute Award, 1951, AIA Twenty-five Year Award in 1978, Royal Gold Medal in 1979.
